Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
It is important to upgrade your equipment in order to maximize your gearing capabilities. It allows you to add bonus stats onto the value of your item's base level.
Each upgrade template has several options that can be changed using the edition GUI. These options include upgrading reference and upgrading chance.
Upgrade components
As part of the 2.0 update the system for upgrading the armor and weapons in Cyberpunk was redesigned. Upgrade components are scattered throughout Night City. The item you'd like to upgrade should also have an upgrade slot. The game will display an overview of the item's expected stats after upgrading. It will also show the required component or material. If you don't have the level or resource to upgrade an item the button will read "Blocked."
The items that can be upgraded include weapons and armor as well as a few trinkets and gathering tools.
